Finnsusp renews its Board to accelerate international growth

The Finnish developer and manufacturer of preservative-free eye care products and contact lens care solutions Finnsusp, also known by its brand name Piiloset, is renewing its Board of Directors as part of the company’s next strategic growth phase.  

As of January 1, 2026, Mia Lindström has been appointed as Chair of the Board, and Katri Outinen joins the Board as a new member. The board also includes digital commerce expert Leevi Parsama, experienced health technology leader Ilari Antila and Riikka Järvinen, CEO of Finnsusp and second-generation owner-entrepreneur of the family business.  

Extensive experience in international growth and regulated production 

The newly appointed Chair of the Board, Mia Lindström (MSc, CBM) is an experienced business leader with approximately 20 years of international business experience. She has served as CEO of several companies and held long-standing board and advisory role positions, particularly in leading growth and strategic transformation.

Katri Outinen (PhD Pharm) brings over 30 years of international experience in the pharmaceutical
industry . She has a strong background in aseptically manufactured sterile ophthalmic drugs, product
development and quality assurance. Most recently, she served as the Site Manager of contract
manufacturer NextPharma Oy.

At the same time, Piiloset extends its sincere thanks to Kari Toivonen, who is retiring from the Board, for his long-term and valuable contribution to the company’s growth and development.

Dry eye products as the growth driver 

Finnsusp’s most significant growth driver is the development and manufacturing of the preservative-free
products for the treatment of dry eye in its facility in Lieto, Finland. The company is investing in future
growth with new equipment, factory expansion investment, product development and strengthening its
personnel to meet the increasing international demand.
